Voaize
PrivacyPolicy
How Voaize handles information - for a store, and for the person who scans.
Last updated September 3, 2026
Who we are
Voaize is provided by Honrly Inc., San Francisco, CA. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the operator of Voaize. Honrly Inc. is the controller of personal information collected through voaize.com and related listing pages, except where a store decides what to put in its listing files.
We collect information to operate Voaize. We never sell personal information. We never share it for advertising. Discretion is the standard, not a setting. California residents may still record that instruction on Your privacy choices.
Notice at collection
We collect the categories below to run listing pages, store tools, security, and correspondence you begin. We do not collect them to sell, to advertise other companies’ products, or to follow a buyer beyond the residence. Cookies are described in our Cookie Policy. Optional cookies wait for a choice.
Information we collect
Stores
When a store is invited to use Voaize, we collect account details such as name, email address, and the store the account belongs to. We also store the product materials a store provides so shoppers can be answered from those materials.
Shoppers
When someone scans a product code, we may collect limited technical information needed to provide and protect the page, and the content of that conversation so we can answer and so the store can see how the listing performed. Shoppers are not required to create an account.
Please do not include government identification, health information, or payment card numbers in a conversation. If voice is used, it is used to run that conversation.
When you contact us
If you write to hello@voaize.com, we keep your message and any details you include so we can reply.
Cookies and identifiers
We store a necessary consent record when you accept, reject, or save cookie choices. Staff sign-in uses a session cookie. See the Cookie Policy for names, durations, and categories.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide product pages and answers from materials the store has supplied
- Authenticate authorized staff and protect the service
- Understand whether the service is working as intended
- Respond when you contact us
- Remember cookie and privacy choices you have made
We do not use information from a listing scan to advertise other companies’ products. We do not build marketing profiles of the people who inquire. A conversation with a home is not a commodity.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where European data protection law applies, we rely on:
- Contract or steps at your request - to provide store tools and listing conversations
- Legitimate interests - to secure the service and understand whether it works
- Consent - for optional cookies, which you may refuse or withdraw
- Legal obligation - when the law requires us to keep or disclose information
You may withdraw consent without affecting use before withdrawal. Necessary cookies do not require consent because the site cannot run without them.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us operate Voaize, solely for that purpose. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect Voaize, a store, or a person from serious harm.
We never sell personal information. We never share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not offer money or other incentives in exchange for it.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies to operate the site, keep invited staff signed in, and remember certain preferences. We never use them to sell data or to advertise. Optional analytics cookies remain off until you permit them. The Apollo website tracker on the public site loads unless you refuse marketing cookies, send Global Privacy Control, or record a do-not-sell instruction. Refusal is as available as acceptance. Reopen cookie settings at any time. We honour Global Privacy Control. The full account is in our Cookie Policy.
Retention
We keep store accounts and product materials while a store uses Voaize. Stores may ask us to delete a store’s data. Messages you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Cookie choices are kept for 180 days. Conversation records are kept so a store can see listing activity, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed for that purpose or the law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing, to restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to appeal a denial. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Email hello@voaize.com. Store staff should write from the address on the account.
California privacy
California residents have the rights described on Your privacy choices, including to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or share, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We aim to reply within 45 days. You may designate an authorized agent. We will take reasonable steps to verify a request. If we deny a request, we will say why and how to appeal.
Categories we may collect: identifiers (such as email for staff, a cookie that holds this choice), listing activity (conversations with a residence), internet or device information needed to run a page, and audio if a buyer chooses to speak. Sources: you, your device, and the store that published the listing. We never sell or share these categories.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. California “Shine the Light” (Civil Code 1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
Children
Voaize is not directed at children under 13, or the equivalent age in your country. We never sell personal information - of a minor, or of anyone. Stores should not place codes where the expected user is a child. If we learn we collected personal information from a child, we will delete it.
International
We are based in the United States. If you use Voaize from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we and our providers operate. Those countries may not provide the same legal protections as your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted here. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy. If we change how we use optional cookies, we will ask for a new choice.
